Deepak, Hisam, Abhinav and Ashwin, four engineering students from LBS College of Engineering, Kerala decided to quit their college studies and start a company based on a simple idea. To deliver the power of the Internet to the masses over SMS, a widely used, simple and basic technology.
Today, Innoz is a leading mobile company in India and the creator of SMSGYAN – a mobile search engine via SMS. Almost 87% of the global population has a mobile cellular subscription, making for a tremendously large market. Currently, SMSGYAN ( 55444.in ) have 120 million active users around the world, submitting over 5 million queries on their mobile platform each day. Users access several Internet functions, from basic searches to email to social media networks — all over SMS.
The founders of Innoz have inspired a new generation of young entrepreneurs, especially in their home state of Kerala, and play a major role in the development of Startup Village, one of the biggest start up incubators in the country.
